This policy explains what happens to your data when you use JSON Convertor & Editor. The short version: the JSON you work with stays in your browser, and we keep the rest to a minimum.

Your JSON stays on your device

The core of this tool runs entirely in your browser. When you paste, type, upload, format, or convert JSON, that content is processed locally on your own computer or phone. It is not sent to us and it is not stored on our servers. We never see the JSON you work with.

What we store in your browser

To make the tool nicer to use, we save a few things in your browser using local storage:

This information lives on your device, not with us. You can clear it at any time from your browser settings, and using the private or incognito mode of your browser keeps it from being saved between sessions.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used in aggregate, such as which pages are popular and which browsers and devices visitors use. This helps us decide what to improve. The data is collected in a summarized form and does not include the JSON you work with or anything that identifies you by name.

Google Analytics sets its own cookies to do this. If you would rather not be measured, you can block cookies in your browser, use a content blocker, or install the official Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

Third-party services

Google Analytics is provided by Google, and your use of it is also covered by Google's own privacy terms. We do not sell your data to anyone.

Children

This tool is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will change the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
